Cooking for two has never been more easy!!
I love this cookbook! I am always looking for inexpensive healthy ways to prepare meals for me and my son so this cookbook was right up my alley! I also like that if I was to make a nice intimate meal that this is a good cookbook to run to. I love how at the beginning of this cookbook in the introduction it talks about how “The meal you share together is an Act of Love.” This is so true! We I prepare a meal for myself or anyone, I want them to savor it and love every bite! It also talks about how to properly plan for your meals by providing a comprehensive shopping list for planning out your meals for the week. I have always wanted to get into meal planning but just didn’t know how but this cookbook gives you a sample weekly meal plan to help you which is great if you want to learn! The recipes in this cookbook are very easy to prepare and if you would like, you can double up on the ingredients if you would like to make more. I love how the author gives you 10 tips to eating healthy for life. The author also give you a handy “Foods to have on hand” which are mostly items that can be refrigerated or staples that you can have on hand in your cabinets. I love how this cookbook breaks down the recipes according to the dish (ex., Salads, soups and stews, fish and seafood, chicken, turkey, and duck, or beef, pork, and lamb). It even has a section for vegetarians! I am looking forward to making the “Gourmet Sloppy Joes and the Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry! For my meatless days I want to try the vegetarian dishes “Garden Veggie Crustless Quiche” and “Sweet Potato Cakes!”What I really enjoy about this cookbook is how the recipes are broken down into “Weekday and Weekend” recipes. The recipes listed above are from the Weekday recipes and the Weekend recipes are broken down into brunch for those who don’t wake up early (like myself). I especially want to try the “Sweet Potato Pancakes” as a nice brunch for those lazy weekend mornings. There are many other great brunch recipes that are listed. There is also a great section on healthy snacks like “Peanut Butter and Banana Tortilla Spirals” and “Many Berry Smoothie” which I would probably make for breakfast when I am on-the-go! I just love how simple and healthy the recipes are and you will enjoy making these recipes for your loved ones and adding this cookbook to your collection.*I was given this book for review. The opinions I express are completely my own.

Fantastic, helpful and easy to understand
My children are teenagers, and my husband and I are often the only two at home for dinner many nights.A lot of the time we have been just not making dinner, instead we snack or have a bowl of cereal or something like that.Obviously not a healthy alternative! So finding this book has been heaven sent! The first line reads : “The Meal You Share Together Is an Act of Love.”How true is that statement? I knew right from the moment I read that that I was going to be a fan of this cookbook! This is not just a book filled with recipes, but also gives you helpful tips on how to eat healther, and become closer through the sharing of good health and good nutritious meals.Chapter two has tricks developed by professional chefs to save time and minimize the steps you need to complete for a great meal.I found these tips very helpful to me, given that I am not a very organized or fast cook in the kitchen! There is also info on planning ahead so that you have everything you need already in the kitchen when you are ready to make your meals each day.The recipes themselves are laid out so that it is as easy as possible to put together, and the meals I made using this have been fantastic and a huge hit in our home!I am a big fan of the different soups because they are simple yet nutritious and GREAT for these cold winter days!Overall I love this book!*This book was provided for my honest and unbiased opinion*

Yummy & Easy Recipes for 2 or more people!
How often do you just NOT cook because cooking for one or two is so difficult? It’s so hard to make really delicious dinners and not waste a lot of ingredients and food when you have to breakdown recipes meant for 4 or more. So, I love having a cookbook that’s been designed to cater to those who are cooking dinners for just two. There are definitely a great selection of recipes in this book from delicious veggie recipes like Creamy Mashed Cauliflower to Grilled Asparagus this cookbook is great for those like me who prefer TASTY over Healthy and integrates the two. Growing up the word health food meant yuck food. I just never really tasted healthy food that had any flavor and I am one of those people who eat for taste, not for my health. However, if I can combine the two then it’s definitely worth it to me. Yet, it also teaches you how to correctly double the recipes so that they can also be used for creating delicious meals for your entire family or friends. The book opens up talking about how it’s important to take time out every week to make a meal plan for the week so that you can be properly prepared to create healthy dishes and how to prepare those dishes. The book takes it up a notch by also having sections dedicated to helping you learn how to plan your meals while saving money along the way.It also teaches you that if you have a meal plan and know in advance if you will be creating dishes that require some of the same ingredients how to save prep time by prepping some of the same items at once instead of on two seperate nights. That’s something I’ve never even thought of in relation to preparing meals. So, I really learned some approaches to cooking that I had previously never thought of.Also planning meals by trying to find recipes to use during the week that will double the use of certain products is another tip that this book taught me! A lot of times I’ll purchase certain produce to use in a meal and then will only use it for one meal and before I could even think about needing it again, the items end up being wasted from spoiling. There are a ton of tips for purchasing fresh fruits and veggies that help you to purchase fresh ingredients but not over purchasing and ending up with items that will spoil. The book also teaches you some healthy food prep techniques! I know for myself, I grew up in the south and for me I’m not all that comfortable and familiar with some of the cooking techniques that I’ve read about. I know how to fry anything, but apart from it and throwing things in the oven to bake I’m at a loss. I definitely look forward to learning some new ways to cook my food!!There are quite a few sections in this book. It’s also divided into Weekday meals and Weekend meals taking into consideration prep and cook time. The recipes are divided into sections by type, then you also have Lunch and Supper Sections..There is such a great variety of recipes, there are tons that I’ve found that I’m dying to try! Fish tacos with Peach salsa sounds DIVINE but also makes it not seem too hard to get the ingredients or too difficult to cook. Most of the ingredients that these recipes are using are readily available at most grocery stores. A lot of recipes I’ve seen on the internet call for ingredients that you have to go to specialty stores to get and I just don’t have time to try to locate ten stores to create one dish. So, I really appreciate a cookbook that provides you with easily accessible ingredients. Nothing is worse than finding a delicious recipe that makes your mouth water only to discover it calls for four items that your local store doesn’t carry. The only thing that bummed me out about this book was the lack of pictures of any of the recipes. I love looking at the pictures in recipe books, so that was a tad of a bummer, but not a HUGE deal. (I received the ebook, I don’t know if perhaps a hard copy might have the pictures or not). Overall though, I really am excited to try the recipes in this book! THere are also a bunch of the side dishes that I really am excited about!* I received a review copy.

Empfehlung!
