Works GREAT… BUT it rusts.ð
This is FANTASTIC for quickly mincing all sorts of herbs (parsley, basil, dill and even green onions, etc.). Unfortunately, as you can tell by the enclosed pic, it rusts! I’ve had this for over a year, and I use it at least 3 times a week. Most of the time it cleans well enough (it comes with a protective sheath and a little “comb” that helps you clean residue from between the blades). However, if your herbs are wet or even slightly moist they will adhere to the blades and these scissors WILL need a rinsing. But, much as I ALWAYS dry them thoroughly after rinsing them (and even after applying a thin coat of cooking oil to stave off the rust)… they have gotten somewhat rusty anyway. But, if you’re okay with this, I DO recommend them.By the way, they are still as sharp as the first day!

Love to use these to chop up herbs when there are enough to merit the slightly extra effort to wash. Make sure to avoid touching the sharp side when washing!

During tomato season, I often make a no-cook tomato pasta sauce which includes lots of julienned basil leaves. The classic “easiest” manual way to julienne basil is to stack the leaves, roll them up like a cigar, and slice them thinly across. This gets tedious fast when using a lot of leaves. With the herb scissors, I simply cut up the leaves and they are julienned for me automatically. I found I can’t do more than about two layers of leaves at one time or too much leafy matter gets stuck and doesn’t cut well, but the cutting goes so fast that doesn’t really matter. I do have to wipe the blades clean frequently, but that takes just a few seconds. There is also a cleaner included which cleans out the blades perfectly, but if you just do a single or double layer of leaves that it really not needed most of the time. Bottom line: I am very pleased with this purchase.

Not worth it, at this price.The bottom part of the scissor is unusable since blades are not properly aligned. Some blades not even grinding together.One can only use the top most part of the blade hinge where blades are connected.
