Practice makes perfect
First of all, this is a truly beautiful bowl, not to mention the crystal set that you can choose to wear in a necklace & the pendulum (which I’ve actually yet to use but am excited to try). I wore the lapus lazuli crystal as a pendant the other day and got a compliment on it. The only reason I took a star off btw was the zipper on the holder for the bowl broke only after a couple of weeks. But I’m already attached enough to the bowl and crystals that I don’t want to return or exchange it. Now as for the most important thing…getting the bowl to sing. This is something I REALLY struggled with and I didn’t figure out what I was doing wrong until last night. I was on the verge of thinking seriously about returning it b/c I thought maybe I’d gotten a lemon since I couldn’t get the thing to sing even after watching several YouTube videos about it. Finally I realized that what I was doing wrong was that I was rubbing the mallot counter clockwise on the bowl instead of clockwise. As soon as I started doing it clockwise it sung like a canary! I was also using the wooden part of the mallet on the bowl at first because I thought it was easier to get it to make sound but once I actually figured out how to get it to sing, I realized why the padded part is suggested, it gives it a much purer sound as opposed to the wooden part which makes a scraping noise on the bowl. Anyway let me tell you what other people wrote in their reviews is so true, it’s such an amazing feeling once you finally get the bowl to sing…just pure bliss and definitely worth all the practice. I will just reiterate make sure you are playing it clockwise and of course make sure to lay your hand flat when holding the bowl. Also, make sure no jewelry is touching it either. But again I can’t say enough how beautiful the whole thing is, I’ve already been using the crystals for my meditation, I use Chakra incense and will either hold the coordinating crystal or put it in the necklace and now I can finally add making the bowl sing. It’s a shame the holder it came in broke but even so I still absolutely adore this set & would definitely recommend it as a gift to other spiritual friends who like to meditate ð§ââï¸ð§ââï¸ð§update-I’m bumping up to 5 stars because out of nowhere the zipper started working again last night on the container. I must’ve fixed it with the beautiful sounds from the bowl 𥣠ð

Wow! So wonderful and sings for me!
I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about these bowls but something just told me to get one, maybe a dream, or some type of message… I am no expert so I wanted to get something affordable. I took a whole day searching though Amazon. Reading reviews, comparing in the range of price between $20-40dlls. I wanted a real hand crafted singing bowl because I read machine made won’t sing, etc. By common sense, I realized that a perfectly made bowl (perfect painted patterns and so on) wouldn’t be hand made. So that is another thing I paid attention to, made sure it was painted by hand brush and trusted the seller’s specification on this being handcrafted in Nepal.At first, I didn’t want a brush painted one (with characters, etc.) but then I read about the meanings and all, so I went ahead and odered this one. Despite some negative reviews, I decided to give this bowl a try. I was skeptical because some people may have no idea how to use it (which is NOT hard at all) and already say their bowl is “useless” or not working.My husband nor I had ever used or had a singing bowl, never practiced, just saw a video of someone using one but it took me a few minutes just to make it sing loudly.When I first tried it, it didn’t sing. I tried 3 times within 10 to 15mins. My husband even told me to use the wooden part of the mallet on the bowl and that way it started to sing (thought I had used it wrong â the leather wraped part on the bowl â but that was correct). After the bowl started to sing, I tried using the mallet with the leather wrap touching the bowl again (like in the video) and the bowl started to sing higher and higher. So BEAUTIFUL!I am so very happy with this bowl. It is totally worth the price, and I recommend it despite I just received it yesterday â I just feel so connected and happy with it.I am a person that doesn’t like scratches in my brand new items or things that look “used” when buying them new, but I think this bowl is one of those things that does NOT have to look perfect for it to work. It is not a machine made item for it to have to just sit and look pretty, mine has some superficial scratches that don’t seem to interfere with the sound but I know it was “new” and hand crafted (not perfect) and that is the true essense of it which I like, is rustic in its own form.I think that these type of things also perceive your energy and if you look at it or hold it with negativity, I doubt this would want to sing for you or may sing and channel low vibrations/energies. You get what you give. Give it a try and be patient for a few minutes. If doesn’t work, leave it and try again later, when it finally sings, it feels magical.

Just what I was looking for
Very nice! Beautifully crafted… I ordered 3, 1 for me and 2 as gifts. All 3 arrived very quickly within 3 days. All play a clear mid octave D note bouncing back and forth between in tune and slightly flat (b-#) at 587.3 hz. Calming and soothing but I am going to order another bowl made of crystal and closer to 14 inches for a lower deeper droning sound.Great all around.. my only change I would like is the option to have both the rose quartz pendulum ( blue bundle) and the lava stone Chakra bracelet ( black bundle) in one set… overall YES I absolutely recommend it to anyone, you will not be disappointed..p.s. for easiest method to produce note do not try it on the cool cloth donut without an anti rubber slip mat.. for me best results are when it’s in my palm (completely flat and outstretched) and strike it lightly on the side and immediately rub the outside just below the lip with the cloth part on the mallet, to grab and reverberate the note. Slow and steady with a good amount of pressure, but not enough force to push the bowl around on your skin. And yes they are correct best results are with a full arm motion, not a wrist motion.

Small but quality made. Comes with instructions that made it easy to learn how to properly play it. The frequency does seem to have a calming effect on myself and on a infant baby. Looks very traditional and makes a great piece of decor.

First timei have a singing bowl and itâs sounds very good once Iâve learned how to use it. Comes with itâs case, cushion, mallet and mantra flags. The love theset, the case may smell like strong plastic at first but I.ve left it open to air near the fireplace on my selenite charging base and the smell is gone the next day.
