Heart-healthy recipes
My daughter and I looked at this book from the public library, and I knew I needed to own it! The recipes are unique and varied. The book starts with necessary pantry items and ends with 10 weekly menus. The majority of the book contains simple recipes with nutritional information and prep time. Each recipe includes whether it is for one or two people. It is excellent for single people or an elderly couple, starting a heart-healthy lifestyle. Strawberry Patch Smoothie on page 63 is a favorite.

Pure Pleasure
For the past week, I have been reviewing cookbooks to help me plan weekly menus for renal health. I’m sure I’ve looked at 15 books before I found this one. What a pleasant surprise! The book is filled with tasty recipes, most of them quite simple, not requiring things not found in my pantry. The photography is excellent also. I need not search any longer. Thank you so much!!

Excellent recipes!
We have loved this book. Got it for a friend, but ended up keeping it for ourselves instead. We pass it back and forth between members of the family to try different recipes. Easily can expand the recipes to feed a family, so it isn’t limited to just two folks. The recipes are tasty and easy to make. Love it!

Healthy Options
good ideas (although I haven’t tried them yet). Most recipes are for four or more people, and I only need to cook for one.

Too exotic for me
While this might be a good cookbook for someone on a diet to lose weight, a lot of the recipes use many things I have even heard of. It seems to be more for vegetarians; it had few recipes for meat dishes. I was looking for a cookbook for the many vegetables and meats that I find at the grocery in proportions for one person.I returned it.

Great suggestions for smaller quantity meals for singles or couples.
Most cookbooks are written for family groups so it is hard for singles or couples to cook without wasting or overeating. There are some great suggestions here for smaller quantity meals which should help.

I like to buy cookbooks that have pictures of what my dish should look like. This one hardly has any pictures.
