Owner + Designer of Sweet Water Decor, Melissa Horvath shares 90 daily devotions to equip + empower hard working women.
It’s easy for women to get wrapped up in all that we do and then forget who God created us to be. Whether we’re hardworking inside the home or outside the home or both we all need encouragement and grace to meet the demands life puts on us. This 90-day devotional helps women de-stress by focusing on how we’re blessed. Each entry reminds us to tap into God’s strength, develop a healthy view of success and failure, and learn to accept ourselves as God’s unique creations designed for a unique purpose.
Each devotion begins with a Scripture passage followed by an inspirational message to challenge and encourage women in their work, lives, and faith. Devotions end with engaging questions to help readers apply the spiritual and practical principles as they partner with God to boldly live each day empowered and equipped by Him.

Meet author, artist, business woman, and mother, Melissa Horvath
Hey there! I’m Melissa Horvath. I’m a wife, a mom of three sweet little ones, and the founder, owner, and designer behind the home decor and gift company Sweet Water Decor. I love coffee, yoga pants, home renovation TV shows, looking up at the stars, jamming out to the same song on repeat, and following our Lord. Throughout my life, I’ve depended on God to get me through the good times and the not-so-fun times. A few years ago, God put it on my heart to write a book about purpose. He poured encouragement into my soul to share with the world… so I started to write, even before I knew where it would end up. And now, at this very moment, this book and all the messages He poured into my heart to share with you. In each of these devotions, God wants you to deeply understand about who He is and how much He truly cares for you and your journey.
Sample Devotional: Blessed Versus Stressed
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
–Philippians 4:6 ESV
Life is busy. Stress is real. And the mind knows just when to replay a slideshow filled with photos of past failures. Once that begins, we’re reminded that we don’t have time for the fun things we once did, and it doesn’t take long to feel as if the world is crashing down around us. We’ve all been there.
Here’s an idea: the next time we find ourselves stressed to the max with negative thoughts running amok, let’s take a look around. Sometimes we forget all we truly do have. Even in times of stress, God provides. When negativity starts creeping in, turn stressful thoughts into remembering the blessings. Is work stressing you out? You have a job, and that’s a blessing. Are the kids being crazy while you’re trying to clean the house? You have little ones and a house, and those are blessings. Are you stressed because you can’t see your friends? You have friends, and that’s a blessing. Try looking at things outside of what’s causing the stress and count the blessings around you. Be thankful for the clothes on your back or for having water to drink. Sometimes all it takes to stop the mental “failure slideshow” is to start thinking through all the things that have gone right, all the things for which you are grateful, and all the ways God has been faithful.

So good!
The devotionals in this book have been so encouraging and very relevant to a woman or wears many hats. Iâve found a lot of comfort in the messages and appreciate that I can add it to my morning routine with a quick cup of coffee to get my day started or before bed to end my day on a positive note.

Gifted and Gifting!
I start my day with this book, which was gifted to me. I have gifted it to other women over and over again. I love it and what is interesting is that oftentimes the message I read that day fits the situation or feeling I have at that exact time.

This book is so great. I also bought one for my mom, sister, and aunt! Any time youâre feeling down or need a pep talk, the categories from this book will really make you feel empowered & inspired. I love the Bible verses in each entry as well!

Very Relatable
Awesome book! Helped me to keep the Word in my everyday life and understand the scriptures more. The main was relating the Word to everyday struggles.

Although this is a beautiful looking book, it is not biblically sound. There is a suggestion in it to work on your talents and uses yoga as an example. Yoga is a worship practice to Hindu gods. This is not Christian, it goes fast what the bible says. Yoga is trendy and is marketed as a great exercise, but it is a religious practice of worshipping false gods. Please be aware of this.Just like yoga, cute devotionals can be marketed, but at the end of the day it may not only cost your money. We need to be discerning about what we take in and how we justify it to ourselves.
