AMAZING book! I just LOVE it!!
This is the BEST book I’ve ever read about hormones! I wish I had found this sooner! Madeline walks through different hormone types with easy to understand explanations, along with providing helpful tips in each section. It’s an easy read (which I need). She provides great insight about the foods we can eat to help balance our hormones and the nutrients we need too. In the back it has a suggested meal plan with recipes in the book, and the recipes are easy! She’s thought of everything!I carry this around with me and continue to look back at the different sections. I just love this book!! Thank you for writing such an amazing book!

Love this book! Helped be get started!
Been on this journey of hormones as I am getting older and starting to go through menopause…hot flashes, skin issues not able to lose weight. Read one book and then got this one. I love how she is not trying to sell you anything. Gets to the point, explains things well and helps outline a plan. The recipes are great and my mom and I have tried new things that we like. Helped me get started and gives me great recipes and guides me on my journey. Definitely recommend it!

I have been using Madeline’s recipes for years. Meal planning for our whole house revolves around Madeline’s recipes. This book is next level! It is beautiful and full of not just recipes, but also hormone balancing guidance. I am not being dramatic when I say that these recipes have changed my health and my quality of life, all for the better.

    Better Than Expected
This cookbook is full of great recipes, but my favorite part is actually all the information on why these recipes are helpful for balancing hormones. The book is broken down into sections that address different types of hormone imbalances, making it easy to implement exactly what is needed. This book is packed with great information, I highly recommend it!

    one of the better ones!
Laid out in an easy-to-read, easy-to-follow format. Built on nutritional foundations rather than just covering symptoms. While I do not agree with everything in the book, it has many good points as a whole.Personally, I disagree with the concept of smoothies because we do not chew them, and digestion and healthy nutrient absorption begin in the brain and then the mouth. We need to chew food to get our digestive enzymes started. Thus, I have never thought smoothies were the best choice to “eat”.One of my favorite recipes is the “grain-free” sunflower porridge. Personally, I used monkfruit instead of maple syrup because, to me, natural and added sugars are in enough things. We do not need to add extras. Plus, PCOS is an insulin resistance issue. Best to just take out all added sugars until the PCOS is gone and your body is reset. (yes, this is possible). I used plain raw sunflower seeds and pulsed them with the other nuts. No need to buy special sunflower seed butter. This recipe here is a WINNER. Perfect breakfast consistency reminiscent of oatmeal, but way more nutrient dense with excellent essential fatty acids.Overall, this is one of the better “health” cookbooks I have seen, and very thoughtful in its presentation. No regrets.

This book is a tour de force of nutritional information and wholesome recipes for creating a solid foundation to support hormonal health. The early chapters provide a thorough explanation and examination of hormones and the role of nutrition to help support hormonal health. This part is very accessible and covers a vast array of aspects including menstruation, specific food nutrition charts, and general hormone balancing recipes.A hormone quiz in one of the early chapters helps you identify which challenges you might be facing, such as high estrogen. The results then help to guide you towards the chapters and recipes which will be most relevant to your particular struggles. The recipes are uncomplicated, with straight-forward ingredients and easy to follow instructions, combined with a short introduction which provides information on the nutritional aspects of key ingredients. The photos of the dishes encourage me all the more to try them. At the end of the book there are even meal plan charts you can use for the different stages of your cycle. There are suggestions for alternative ingredients if you are vegetarian or vegan or have dietary restrictions.I was concerned the book was only for those in the prime of their menstruating years and would not cover women’s health in perimenopause and menopause, but this concern was dispelled when both were mentioned early on in the introduction. There is even a menopause meal plan included.I have found myself re-reading it again and again to really absorb all of the information the author has provided. This book has encouraged me to gain a solid understanding and foundation for my own meal nutrition and know how to deal with any hormonal issues as they arise. If you are struggling to find a way through the confusion of how to support your body when you have symptoms of hormonal imbalance, then I would heartily recommend this book. It is a gateway to not only learning more about hormonal health, but provides a wealth of information to support your own body back to hormonal balance.

I am thrilled to have this book in my hands! Hormones have always seemed complicated and mysterious to me, but Madeline breaks things down step by step on how the female reproductive system works in a way that makes it more clear. It is easy to understand and relate to as you go along. This book is a joy to read because it is packed with important information and guidance to understand one’s own body and work with it in a fairly simple way.I am one of millions who has struggled with PMS and other period dysfunctions. At first, I didn’t truly believe that changing my diet would help me in a tangible way, but it did! I didn’t even go militant about it, but with understanding comes power and Madeline’s work has empowered me to make changes which have improved my life. My pain has reduced, including depression, anxiety, breast pain and unbearable cramps.I need things to be simple in the kitchen and these recipes plus Madeline’s tips on how to arrange it “flex” makes it all doable. I’ve learned that my eating was always healthy, but it wasn’t the right balance for my hormonal needs and therefor I was struggling with symptoms. With the recipes in this book, I get to have the yumm factor on top of ease and convenience.I truly believe everyone needs this book; the understanding to be gained and the divine recipes to be enjoyed, its a brilliant work!Thank you Madeline <3Ps. I will be getting a copy for my boyfriend. Even though he doesn't have a female hormone cycle, he would still benefit from understanding hormone supporting foods for his health, plus the nutrient dense recipes are just so good!

After anxiously waiting for this day, the book finally arrived today. It’s supposed to be a cookbook to support hormone healing, but it’s way more than that. It’s art! The recipes have little personal notes about the origin of the recipes and stunning bright pictures. I was surprised that most recipes include ingredients I can find in my kitchen, so I don’t have to rush to the grocery store for a healthy, tasty meal. Thanks to this book, I have realized that I don’t need fancy, complicated meals to eat healthily. A big bonus is the inclusion of cooking measurements in the metric system. The book also provides information about hormone health in an easy, accessible language. So it’s kind of a 2-in-1: cookbook + textbook. Kudos to Madeline for writing this book!
