And yes…my Dad did wear these 🙂 so, it is with great nostalgia that I slip these on every day. They are so comfortable. I won’t say that they age too gracefully in terms of looks, but they do only get more comfortable with time. They start off quite bouncy and perky feeling, then mellow into a more cushioned, low-key feel. Much like our faces as we age… Anyway, I have gone through maybe 3 or 4 pairs in the last 8 years (I average 2 years per pair with almost daily wear…not bad?) and won’t be stopping anytime soon.

When my 4-year-old walking shoe of this brand and similar style recently lived out its life, I knew I would buy another. Like my last one, this one is also very comfortable and true to size as I have bought in the past. Although not indicated as such in the description, the outer material does appear to be suede with mesh. Although the color is lighter than my last one, I do like this color – it compliments most casual-wear. About the only thing I did not care for in the styling is the white tag on the tongue – but, fortunately, with slacks/jeans it is covered. Overall, nice looking, comfy shoe!

Versatile, everyday shoe for running errands, good arch support and overall comfort.
I have been wanting these shoes for a year and a half, and I waited until the weather warmed up here in Ohio to purchase these in gray and white. I highly recommend the iconic gray and white. I ordered the 9 1/2 because for some reason in athletic shoes I need a half size up. I took a star off only because I will have to purchase socks that go above the cuff. I would give these shoes a 4.5. The shoes do provide good arch support and overall comfort; however, the back cuff rubs around my Achilles tendon. I have a more narrow heel. I am hoping that as I wear the shoe, this discomfort will go away.Otherwise, I am very pleased with the look of the shoe, as well as the overall support that I expect from New Balance. I don’t know that I personally would use these for walking/exercise. They are more of a fashion shoe to wear out to run errands, attend events, etc.

These are my favorite shoes now! I love the fit as there seems to be more room in the front than most shoes. They are so comfortable and I wear them to work as they are a neural color.

Super beau et conforable.

Shoes are super comfortable and I love how they look. I’m usually a women’s size 9 and find the 9 in these shoes fit perfectly (true to size). There was no “breaking in” of the shoes, they were comfortable immediately!
